WAYFARER RAGLAN (English)

WAYFARER RAGLAN is the first entry in the upcoming WAYFARER COLLECTION. It is a top-down, round-knit design that features a classic raglan-style silhouette. Designed with simplicity in mind, it is an ideal project for knitters of all skill levels, including those new to unspun yarn.

The neck is cast on using a long-tail cast-on and shaped using German short rows while incorporating raglan increases. The yoke is further shaped with subtle, lifted increases, creating an elegant and unobtrusive raglan seam. Once the sleeves and body are separated, they are worked in classic stockinette stitch to the desired length. The cuffs and hem are finished with a 1x1 rib and bound off using the same technique.

The end result is a minimalist yet versatile piece that will be a timeless addition to your wardrobe, perfect for both outdoor and urban adventures, and will accompany you for years to come.

There are two samples shown in the pattern with slight variations in neck and bottom ribbing length.

For an oversized fit, choose a size 15-25 cm larger than your actual chest circumference, for a relaxed fit - 10-15 cm larger. The samples in the photos are size 3 with 19 cm positive ease.

Your individual yarn consumption will vary based on your yarn, gauge, size, and desired sleeve/ body length. It is advisable to get a little more than you think you’ll need.

Gauge
10 cm = 16 sts and 23 rounds on needle size 4.5 mm in stockinette stitch (after blocking). The swatch is knit in the rnd.

Needles and accessories
3.5 mm and 4.5 mm 60-120 cm circular needles and/or DPNs. Stitch markers, stitch holders, waste yarn, a darning needle, and scissors.
