DESIGN INTRODUCTION
HERITAGE COWL is a versatile and simple accessory inspired by the timeless design of the Heritage Sweater. Featuring the same rhythmic, all-over stranded colourwork pattern, this beginner-friendly project is perfect for knitters new to stranded knitting.
This cowl is not only a functional and stylish accessory but can also serve as a colour-planning gauge swatch before knitting the Heritage Sweater. Its compact size makes it an ideal stash-busting project, perfect for creating thoughtful gifts while exploring different colour combinations.
THE STORY BEHIND THE DESIGN
HERITAGE draws its charm from traditional Norwegian menswear and the cosy, oversized appeal of beloved heirloom pieces. The cowl reflects the sweater’s minimalist yet striking aesthetic, featuring a classic colourwork pattern that can be worked in a single contrast colour or alternating colours. Designed with new knitters in mind, it offers a quick and satisfying project while retaining the charm of its larger counterpart.
SIZING
The cowl is available in a unisex adult size; however, it is easy to adapt for personal preferences, gauge discrepancies, or children.
