Bjørk Top - Knitting Pattern

BJØRK TOP (from Norwegian: ‘birch’, Swedish / Icelandic: ‘Björk’ ) is a raglan style tee knitted from the top down in the round. It features a striped pattern consisting of knit and slip stitches. First the neck is cast on using tubular cast-on, then the neck is shaped with German short rows while working raglan increases at the same time. Raglan increases are first worked in main colour and later in pattern. Afterwards, the sleeves and the body are separated and worked in pattern. The (half)twisted rib on the cuffs and hem are finished with a tubular bind-off.

Please choose a size 0-15 cm larger than your actual chest circumference. For reference: the sample in the photo is in size 3 with 12 cm positive ease.

Gauge
10 cm = 22 sts and 28 rnds on needle size 3.5 mm in st st
(after blocking). The swatch is k in the rnd.

Needles and accessories
3.0 mm and 3.5 mm 60-120 cm circular needles and/or
DPNs. St markers, st holders, a darning needle, scissors.
